YPO in New Mexico | Trip Recap
Updated: Nov 26, 2021
This private trip with the Omaha YPO Chapter (Young Presidents Organization) was the beginning of many future potential partnerships.
An annual trip has happened for many years for YPO members and this was the first time partnering with Happy Grizzly. In our partnership, every participant reflected that they felt able to be more vulnerable, supported and supportive. There was a collective interest in a Happy Grizzly facilitating their future forms indefinitely as well as encouraging other forums to partner with Happy Grizzly for their annual retreat.
On day 1, we split between experienced and beginner fishermen so everyone could get a chance to find their cast. It didn’t take long for each person to begin to feel the calming and grounding effects that fly fishing offers. As we slowed down and tuned into the natural rhythm of nature, we all felt grateful for the space offered us on the 17,000 acre New Mexico ranch.
On day 2, we split up groups again - some having better luck than others with catching fish. But all were deeply enjoying the experience of being present in nature, and reflecting on their trip intention. We retreated to the ranch lodge when lightning began playing in the distant hills. We spent the afternoon and evening watching the light show from the porch.
Our final evening was full of fun, friendly conversation. The lodge at Quinlan Ranch was a beautiful and comfortable place for us to close out our time together. The YPO group left the following morning feeling rejuvenated, grounded, and much more connected to their peers than when they arrived.
In addition to our own programming and scheduled adventures, Happy Grizzly partners with organizations looking to create a deeper and more meaningful experience for the members of their company. Let us know how we can curate an Intentional Adventure specific to your needs!
